Dr. John F. Mynatt Jr. is the founding partner of Locust Grove Pediatrics. He is also a native of Georgia. He was raised in the metro Atlanta area and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He also attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA where he also completed an Internship and Residency in Pediatrics. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and an active member of The American Academy of Pediatrics. John has been practicing pediatrics in the McDonough and Locust Grove area since 1997, and he currently has affiliations with Henry Medical Center, Southern Regional Medical Center as well as the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. He lives locally and is married to his wife, Amy, and has three children – Luke, Jackson, and Libby. In what little spare time he has, you may find him participating in community events, engaged in youth sporting events or attending church.
Wesley is a native of Macon, Ga but currently lives in Forsyth with his wife, Rebecca-Rose and daughter, Blakely. He graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2017 with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse in Pediatric Intensive Care until 2023. Wesley attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he graduated from in 2023 with his Masters in the Science of Nursing. He is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. In his free time, Wesley enjoys singing on the worship team at church, golfing, and spending time with his family.
Whitney is a Georgia native and currently lives in Madison with her husband Randall and three children, Reese, Weston and Jenna Kate. She graduated from Georgia State University in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She worked as a RN in the CIRU at CHOA Scottish Rite campus as well as a pediatric home health nurse for medically complex home-bound children. In 2012, Whitney graduated from Georgia State University with her Master's of Science in Nursing and became a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Whitney joined Locust Grove Pediatrics as an NP in 2013. Whitney is a passionate breastfeeding advocate and became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant through IBLCE in 2021 to further her knowledge and expertise in assisting breastfeeding mothers and infants. Whitney is passionate about special needs children and credits this to having had a special needs sister whom she loves and misses. Whitney has also fostered and since adopted a child. This experience has greatly influenced her to connect with other foster children and families. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her kids, gardening and camping.
